Snow Ends, Watch For Black Ice

Local News

(WSPA) – With the exception of a continued chance for some snow showers in the NC mountains this evening, Saturday’s accumulating snow has ended.

Temperatures will initially hold above freezing in most areas this evening, but by late evening as clouds try to break, we’ll fall below freezing for many.

Leftover moisture on roads will freeze, leading to black ice and slick spots overnight into early Sunday…especially in areas that saw heavier snow Saturday.

Use caution if you need to travel. Conditions will improve rapidly Sunday under a sunny sky with milder temperatures…highs reach the 50s.
