SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash Friday evening.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of Skylyn Drive and Dillion Drive in Spartanburg.
Troopers said a Mercury SUV was traveling south on Skylyn Drive as a pedestrian was attempting to cross Skylyn Drive. The pedestrian was hit and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the pedestrian as 64-year-old Gloria Jean Linder, of Spartanburg.
This crash remains under investigation by the SCHP and the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office.
