Police search for suspect in Woodruff bank robbery

WOODRUFF, SC (WSPA) – Police are investigating after a bank was robbed Tuesday afternoon in Woodruff.

The robbery happened at the Arthur State Bank on North Main Street just before 2:30pm.

Woodruff Police said the suspect approached the counter and handed the bank teller a note demanding money.

The suspect is believed to be 5’9″ to 5’10” tall and was wearing a grey sweater, blue jeans, and had tattoos on his neck.

He was seen leaving the bank in a red four-door Chevrolet with faded paint on the hood and no license plate.

Anyone with information on the robbery should call the Woodruff Police Department.
