GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A shelter-in-place order has been lifted and Dei Sean Pitts was taken into custody, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.


The U.S. Marshal’s Service along with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are attempting to serve a warrant on a suspect on Crawford Glen Court near Trenholm Road.

 The U.S. Marshal’s Service said that they were attempting a traffic stop on Dei Sean Pitts when Pitts ran from the vehicle and into the woods near Crawford Glen Court.

The U.S. Marshals are currently searching with K9s. Pitts is also wanted for unlawful carrying of a firearm and also wanted for questioning in a crime.

A spokesperson for Greenville County Schools said that Greenville Middle Academy and East North Academy were briefly placed on hold. The holding has since been lifted.
