HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – A woman was shot and killed Monday morning at a Hendersonville McDonald’s.
According to the Hendersonville Police Department, the shooting happened shortly before 11 a.m. at the restaurant on 4 Seasons Boulevard.
Investigators said the victim, identified as 30-year-old Jacklyn Marie Reed, was involved in an argument with another woman at a bus stop near McDonald’s.
The other woman went to the McDonald’s to get away from Reed but was followed into the restaurant, police said.
A manager at the McDonald’s separated the women and Reed left the restaurant but returned later where she was met by the manager and another employee, Hendersonville Police said.
Police said Reed reached out and touched the other employee, identified as Sam Antwan Ivey, who shot her with a concealed handgun.
Ivey then left the scene and arrived at Edneyville Elementary School where his child attended, according to officers.
He was taken into custody by the school resource officer in the school’s parking lot.
Police said Ivey was charged with second degree murder and will be booked into the Henderson County jail.
Investigators said additional charges are expected.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
