GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A man has been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting Friday morning in Greenville County.
According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, officials responded at 6:50 a.m. to a home in the 600 block of Fairview Road in Simpsonville.
Once they arrived at the scene, they found a woman shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as 45-year-old Elizabeth Todd, of Simpsonville.
Following a brief investigation by the Simpsonville Police Department, officers identified the suspect as 53-year-old Anthony Todd. He was located at a local motel off Fairview Road and Grandview Drive.
Todd was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
He is currently being held in the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
