UNION, S.C. (WSPA) — A long-time lottery player in the Upstate won big.

The S.C. Education Lottery announced Tuesday that a Union man won $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5.

Lottery officials said the man whose name was not released “has been walking around with a big smile on his face and a secret” since he won last month.

He reportedly hasn’t told a soul about the winning ticket.

The numbers were drawn Oct. 9.

“I sat staring at my ticket. I still don’t believe this,” he told lottery officials.

His $100,000 prize was multiplied to $200,000 after a 2x multiplier was drawn.

The winning ticket was sold at KC Mart in Union.

Officials say the odds of winning $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 1,003,884.
