ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) – Fletcher Magee made six 3-pointers and scored 26 points, Cameron Jackson added 20 points and seven rebounds, and No. 22 Wofford beat East Tennessee State 81-72 on Sunday to advance the Southern Conference championship game.

The top-seeded Terriers (28-4) will play either UNC Greensboro or Furman on Monday night.

Magee, the Southern Conference player of the year, made 10 of 14 shots from the field and 6 of 7 from 3-point range, including two on which he twisted almost 180 degrees in the air to get the shot off. Jackson finished 9 of 12 from the floor and was dominant in the second half, when he took advantage of a size mismatch in the low post.

Magee needs seven 3-pointers to become the NCAA Division I career leader. He is second behind Travis Bader of Oakland, who made 504.

Daivien Williamson led ETSU (24-9) with 17 points and Mladen Armus had 15.

Wofford went undefeated in conference play during the regular season, but received its stiffest test of the year from ETSU on Feb. 7, needing overtime to beat the Buccaneers 78-76.

BIG PICTURE

ETSU: The Buccaneers simply didn’t have the bodies to defend Jackson in the low post, and that hurt in the second half. It didn’t help that Magee was making almost everything he tossed up.

Wofford: The Terriers played an effective inside-out game. At one point during the second half, Wofford pounded the ball down low on four straight possessions and the result was five points and two fouls on ETSU’s big men. That helped loosen up the outside shooting, and Magee followed with a twisting 3-pointer from the top of the key to give Wofford a 62-56 lead with 8½ minutes left.

UP NEXT

ETSU: Will await word on a possible NIT bid.

Wofford: Plays for the Southern Conference title on Monday night.
