Man accused of attempted murder after 1 shot at Laurens home


LAURENS COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Laurens County Sheriff’s Office officials arrested a man accused of attempted murder following a shooting at home in Laurens Tuesday.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, deputies were called to a home on South Harper Street in regards to someone who had been shot.

When they arrived on-scene, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound to his lower body.

Investigators identified the shooter as Travis Omandell Miller, who was located at his home on Copeland Street in Laurens.

Miller was taken into custody and taken to the Johnson Detention Center, where he was later taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Sheriff’s Office officials said Miller will be charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a person convicted of a violent felony.
