GREENWOOD, SC (WSPA) – Greenwood Police Department arrested a man on an attempted murder charge following a report of shots fired on South University Street.

According to the police department’s Facebook post, officers responded to the area around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday where a victim said he had been shot at by another man.

Greenwood Police believe that a fight took place between the two men and at some point the man — later identified as Ira Morgan, 21, of Greenwood — pulled out a handgun.

Investigators located Morgan and arrested him.

He was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Police say no one was injured in the shooting.
