Man accused of chasing, ramming car while threatening ex in Union

UNION COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – A man was arrested following an incident Saturday where he reportedly chased down his ex and another man, rammed their vehicle and then threatened them.

According to a Union Police Department report, officers responded to a fight in progress at the intersection of North Pickney Steret and Arthur Boulevard, but were unable to locate a fight in the area.

Officers were then made contact with a woman at public safety headquarters, who told them she was afraid and said Tremayne Deshun Jeter, 21, of Union, was trying to kill her.

According to the report, the woman said she got to her apartment and waited for a friend to pick her up just before 11 p.m. Saturday.

Jeter reportedly walked out of their shared apartment as the man pulled up, and he then started running at the car and hit it with his fist.

The woman told the man to drive away and then Jeter followed them in his vehicle, where he reportedly passed their vehicle and slammed on his brake to make them stop.

When the man and woman turned right onto Arthur Boulevard, Jeter reportedly started ramming their vehicle with his vehicle while chasing them.

According to the report, the man and the woman lost Jeter for a short time and when he caught back up with them again, he started ramming their vehicle again.

Jeter continued to chase them and hit the vehicle.

The man who was driving the woman, stopped his vehicle at the intersection of Arthur Boulevard and North Pickney Street, and got out.

The man and Jeter started to fight in the intersection and Jeter knocked the man to the ground.

The woman also got out of the vehicle and started running towards public safety headquarters.

Jeter then got back inside his vehicle and drove up beside the woman, where he reportedly threatened to kill her.

The woman told police that she was afraid Jeter was going to shoot her, so she waved down a truck and got into the backseat.

The driver of the truck then took her to public safety headquarters.

The woman showed officers a threatened text from Jeter that was directed to her and the man.

Officers located Jeter inside his vehicle and he was arrested and taken to the Union County Jail.

Jeter was charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
