WALHALLA, SC (WSPA) – A Westminster man was arrested yesterday on charges of kidnapping, first degree burglary and criminal domestic violence 2nd degree, according to the Oconee Co. Sheriff’s Office.

Austin Blaine Myers, 24, of Dr. John’s Rd. was booked into the Oconee Co. Detention Center on Thursday and was denied bond.

Deputies say it happened on Hall St. in Fair Play.

They say the deputy met with the victim at a separate address in Fair Play.

The victim said she met Myers, who had made threats to have her arrested and vehicle repossessed.

She met Myers and got into a vehicle with him, which was driven back to her home.

The victim and her children got out of the vehicle and went back into the home and locked the doors.

She said Myers told her that he would stay with the vehicle and got into the house.

She said Myers pushed her into a room and wouldn’t let her leave.

He then assaulted her, according to the woman.

Myers left the house and the women left with her kids.
