UNION, SC (WSPA) – A man is accused of holding a woman and kids against their will and firing a gun into her house, according to a report from Union Co. Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy responded to a address in the 300 block of Beltline Dr. on Oct. 19 for a domestic disturbance.
The suspect, Nicholas Kyle Smith, 29, was in the yard and the victim was at a neighbor’s home, according to the report.
The woman said Smith was acting crazy and fired a gun into her house.
The deputy asked Smith where the gun was and he admitted to shooting into the house and throwing the gun into the bushes.
The woman said Smith came to her house around 3 a.m. and began arguing with her over the password on her phone.
She said Smith wouldn’t let her or her kids leave the house and held them against their will.
The woman threw a flat iron at Smith so she could get by him and tried to run to the door with the children.
She said the kids were in front of her and they were going toward the door when Smith fired the gun.
She then ran to the neighbor’s house to call 911 because Smith took her phone.
He is charged with Kidnapping, Criminal Domestic Violence, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm into a Dwelling, according to the booking report.
