SPARTANBURG CO., SC (WSPA) – Deputies have arrested a man they say committed sex crimes against an 11-year-old in Spartanburg County.
49-year-old Curtis Lamar Gosnell is charged with four counts of third degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor and two counts of Criminal Solicitation of a Minor.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation began in July 2018 when the victim’s mother filed a report. Investigators say they have been trying to find Gosnell for much of the time since the report was made.
According to warrants, the crimes took place between December 9, 2014 and July 2018. The report says Gosnell propositioned and instructed the child to perform sex acts upon him.
Deputies say Gosnell also had two active family court bench warrants on him from December.
