Man accused of trying to rob pizza delivery driver in Spartanburg Co.


SPARTANBURG Co., SC (WSPA) – A man is accused of trying to rob a pizza delivery driver, according to a report from the Spartanburg Co. Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to to the 500 block of Charna Ct. around 1:20 a.m. to a report of an attempted armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver.

The victim said when he got to the residence, 4 men approached him and demanded the pizza and his money. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun, according to the victim.

Something spooked the suspects and they a ran without completing the robbery.

A deputy stopped a man walking nearby who had active warrants.

That man, Dennis Kep Bun, 26, was identified by the victim in a photo line-up as the suspect who had the gun, according to the report.

Bun denied any involvement and used a woman who lived nearby as an alibi, but that proved to be false, according to investigators.

He is charged with Attempted Armed Robbery. Pointing and Presenting a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Bun also had an active bench warrant for Shoplifting and Pointing and Presenting a Firearm for an unrelated incident earlier this month, according to the sheriff’s office.
