Man airlifted following Duncan crash

SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) — Troopers say a man was airlifted after an early-morning crash in Duncan.

The accident happened around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday on Plemmons Road.

Trooper Joe Hovis with the S.C. Highway Patrol said the driver ran off the left side of the road and crashed into a tree near Duncan Reidville Road.

No one else was in the Jeep.

Hovis said the 22-year-old Piedmont man was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A hospital spokesperson said he’s in serious condition as of Wednesday afternoon.
