LYMAN, SC (WSPA) — A woman told Spartanburg County deputies that armed men ordered her and passengers in her car out before she arrived home to find walls and a floors splattered with blood.
The women said that they were driving near Drummond Village Apartments in Greer on July 9 when they were stopped by two men who got in front of the vehicle, according to an investigative report.
One passenger was ordered back into the vehicle and the suspects drove away, the report states.
After the women were left by the road, they were able to get a ride home where they arrived to find blood on the walls of a bedroom, living room and the kitchen floor, the report states.
A deputy who responded to the call remembered an earlier assault call in which a victim stumbled to a home on Edwards Road in Lyman where residents called for EMS because the victim appeared severely beaten.
The victim was taken to Pelham Medical Center where he told an officer that he was awakened after he was struck in the face. He identified his attackers and said one beat him with a gun while another struck him with a pipe before they made off with his wallet containing $375.
The victim was identified the suspects by name and from a photo line-up as Patrick Dewayne Prince Jr., 20, and Devageo Talley, 19, both of Duncan.
Talley and Prince are each charged with armed robbery, first-degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and first-degree assault and battery.
