OCONEE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Oconee County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man found with a stolen vehicle after a report of a suspicious person at a Seneca store last week.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, deputies were called to Dollar General, located at 705 Friendship Road, in regards to a suspicious person.
When they arrived on-scene, they made contact with Brandon Wayne Arnold, who was reportedly standing near a car manual and what appeared to be a pill bottle and a needle in his hands.
Deputies told Arnold to drop the items, which he did, and was then questioned about the vehicle he was driving.
Arnold could not provide any documentation to prove the vehicle was his and deputies were able to confirm that the vehicle he was driving was reported stolen earlier that day.
Deputies arrested and charged Arnold with possession of a stolen vehicle and took him to the Oconee County Detention Center, where he was being placed on $10,000 bond with an electronic ankle monitor.
