Man charged after meth, stolen firearm found during search in Polk Co.


POLK COUNTY, NC (WSPA) – A man was arrested and charged following an investigation into drug activity in Lynn, NC.

According to a Polk County County Sheriff’s Office news release, the sheriff’s office’s P.A.C.E. team conducted a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Flat Rock Hill Road and found methamphetamine, a stolen firearm, drug paraphernalia and other drugs during the search.

On March 29, Timothy William McCurry was charged with resist, obstruction and delay of an officer, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and possessing a schedule IV controlled substance.

McCurry was released from jail after posting a $51,000 secured bond.
