ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – A man who was identified as a suspect in a 2014 homicide case in Anderson County has been arrested and charged.
According to an Anderson County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies responded to a home on Glenn Street in Anderson on Nov. 1, 2014 in regards to a shooting.
When deputies arrived on-scene, they found Brandon L. Pickens, who had been shot.
Pickens was taken to an area hospital for treatment, where he later died from his injuries.
The sheriff’s office’s criminal investigations division learned that Clarence Jamal Tillman was responsible for the shooting.
Warrants were obtained for Tillman, but Tillman then left the area to Georgia.
According to the release, Tillman was involved in a separate incident and was arrested in Georgia.
On March 15, Tillman was released from custody in Georiga and was transported to the Anderson County Detention Center.
Tillman was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
