Man charged with burglary, theft of storage buildings in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Anderson County Sheriff’s Office detectives charged a man with multiple charges stemming from a series of personal storage building burglaries in the county.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, the storage building burglaries happened in the area of Highway 76 and Interstate 85.

Sheriff’s Office officials said investigations into the burglaries started just before December 2018 and they said there are additonal victims coming forward in regards to the case.

Detectives identified and apprehended Bradley Joseph Phelps, 32, in connection to the theft and burglaries, and were able to recover several thousand dollars worth of property belonging to the victims in this case.

Phelps was charged with three counts of burglary, as well as three counts of simple larceny.

More charges are pending, as detectives believe there are additional victims in this case.
