SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA)— A Spartanburg man has been charged with Criminal Domestic Violence after deputies say he assaulted a woman and slashed another with a box cutter.

Robert Wesley Worden, 48, faces this charge, along with an Assault with a Knife charge, from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the incident report, Worden got into a fight with his live-in girlfriend because she stayed somewhere else the night before.

Warden, his girlfriend and the woman she stayed with were all at a home on Ethel Road when deputies arrived.

Deputies say they noticed that the girlfriend was physically upset and was having difficulties breathing. They also noticed a cut on the other woman’s right thigh and on her right breast.

Both women were assault by Worden and had to be taken to Spartanburg Regional Hospital, reports say.

The other victim says Worden pushed his girlfriend down and banged her head against the floor, according to reports.

At that time, the other victim tackled Worden and that’s when he cut her.

Worden faces charges for Domestic Violence 2nd degree.
