LAURENS CO., SC (WSPA) – A motorcyclist died after crashing into a pickup truck on Sunday evening.

The crash happened on Highway 76 near James Elledge Road near Gray Court.

The motorcyclist was identified as 43-year-old Michael Tollison by the Laurens County deputy coroner.

Tollison was going east on Highway 76 when he hit a pickup truck trying to turn left onto James Elledge Road, according to troopers.

Tollison was thrown from his 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle and died at the scene.

Troopers say a Simpsonville man driving the pickup truck and one of three passengers in the truck with him were taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

The crash is under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
