LAURENS COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – The Laurens County Coroner’s Office said one person died in a crash involving a car and a tractor on Fleming Mill Rd. in the county Thursday afternoon.
According to Laurens County Dep. Coroner Vickie Cheek, the crash happened in the 300 block of Fleming Mill Road just before 2:15 p.m.
According to Cheek, the victim has been identified as Wesley Chad Robinson, 29 of Laurens. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.
South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that the victim was hit from behind while driving east on SC 308 in a tractor.
The driver of the car that struck the tractor has been identified as Tara Anne Mahan, 34 of Fountain Inn. She has been charged with DUI resulting in death, driving under suspension, and simple possession of marijuana.
Mahan was previously charged with DUI in February and was out on bond for that charge when the crash happened.
