A man is dead after he was found in a brush fire in Translyvania County.
Wayne Mull, 65, was found while firefighters were working to put out the brush fire.
A firefighter from Cedar Mountain got burned through his boot while trying to pull the victim out of the flames.
The man was air-lifted to Wake Forest Medical Center where he later died.
Officials say the victim didn’t have a burn permit to start the fire.
