Man injured in shooting incident on S. Church St. in Union, police say

UNION, SC (WSPA) – Union Police Department officials said an 18-year-old man was injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning.

According to a Union Police report, officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of South Church Street at around 12:15 a.m.

Witnesses told police they were sitting on the porch of a home when subjects in a black vehicle, possibly an Impala, opened fire.

According to the report, witnesses said the shooting began at one location on South Church Street and continued on down the road.

Officers found a car with a cracked windshied and blood in the floodboard of the passenger seat.

An apparent bullet was found in a window shutter and a homeowner also found a bullet fragment in another vehicle.

According to the report, a suspect in the shooting has not yet been identified.
