PICKENS CO., S.C. (WSPA) – A man has been sentenced to 28 years in the S.C. Department of Corrections after sexually assaulting a 6-year-old, according to 13th Circuit Solicitor Walt Wilkins.

Jose Reyes Reyes, 29, has been convicted of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, First Degree.

Evidence at the trial showed that, in about a 6-month period, Reyes sexually assaulted the 6-year-old numerous times at his home, where she would often spend the night.

Reyes must serve at least 85% of the 28-year sentence, Wilkins says.
