SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – A Spartanburg County man, arrested last year for sexually assaulting a dementia patient, was sentenced, according to court records.
Christopher Pilgrim pleaded guilty last week to first-degree assault and was sentenced to 10 years with credit for 226 days he has already served.
Pilgrim will also be required to register as a sex offender, according to court records.
We reported back in September 2018 that Pilgrim was accused of sexually assaulting a dementia patient at Magnolia Manor in Inman.
Pilgrim reportedly did not work at Magnolia Manor, and was caught assaulting the victim.
Family members told us previously that they did not know him.
Pilgrim had no prior charges related to sex crimes when he was arrested for the incident.
