GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – A Greenville man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for trying to buy a bomb to kill two of his co-workers.

36-year-old Travis Dale Brady will have to serve 120 months in prison followed by court-ordered supervision.

According to evidence from court, Brady wanted revenge against people he believed were responsible after he lost his job in 2016.

The FBI was notified after Brady began contact with various people. During their investigation, Brady met with undercover FBI agents and discussed plans that initially involved setting off a truck bomb at a business site of his former employer but later decided on sending a mail bomb to two people he believed were most responsible.

In March 2018, Brady ordered a mail bomb from an undercover operative and paid $100 to have the bomb put in the mail.

Brady told the undercover FBI employee that he wanted the two targets “exterminated.”

He was arrested and later pleaded guilty to a murder for hire charge.
