ANDERSON CO., SC (WSPA) – Deputies say a Tennessee man was shot after he kicked open the door of a home near Belton.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded Monday evening to a domestic dispute at a home on Skyland Drive.

Deputies say they found a man on the porch who had been shot after he kicked open the door of the home and the homeowner inside fired at least one shot.

The suspect, Woody Duncan, 67, of Oliver Springs, Tenn., was treated at a hospital before he was booked in the Anderson County Detention Center.

Duncan is charged with first-degree burglary.

An arrest warrant says Duncan forced his way into a home in an attempt to get to his wife whom he believed was there after he was warned not to enter the residence.

Duncan told deputies he was shot in the elbow through the door of the residence, according to an incident report. The report says Duncan went to the home uninvited and was told to leave before forcing his way into the home and was shot with a handgun.
