Man shot in leg during drive-by in Union, report says

UNION, SC (WSPA) – Officers are investigating after a man was shot in the leg during a drive-by shooting in Union, Monday night.

According to a report from Union Public Safety, the victim was near the 800 block of South Pinckney Street getting a cigarette from an unknown person when he told officers a car drove by and shot three times.

The victim was shot once in the leg and was taken to the hospital, the report says.

According to the report, officers responded to Union Medical Center shortly before 10:00pm and the spoke to the victim who could not tell them exactly where the shooting happened.

Officers searched the area where the suspect believed it may have taken place to find the exact location but they were unable, according to the report.

There is no word on suspects in the case.
