Man wanted for armed robbery in Greenville Co. arrested

UPDATE: Greenville County Sheriff’s Office official said Kelvin Darrel Brown was arrested Friday without incident.

According to the Greenville County Detention Center’s website, he has been charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of gun/knife during commission of a violent crime. 

A general session judge set Brown’s bond at $30,000. 

GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – A suspect is on the run after an armed robbery in Taylors.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that deputies responded to a report of a person robbed in the 900 block of West Lee Road in Taylors.

The victim wasn’t hurt.

Deputies say the suspect got away with property belonging to the victim.

Deputies initially believed the suspect, Kelvin Darrel Brown, 26, ran into a mobile home on West Lee Road.

The SWAT team responded before later clearing the home. Brown wasn’t found inside.

Deputies say Brown has active warrants for armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

He’s considered armed and dangerous.
