Man wanted on drug trafficking charge in McDowell Co. turns self in

MCDOWELL COUNTY, NC (WSPA) – McDowell County Sheriff’s Office officials said a man wanted on several drug charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, turned himself into authorities on Thursday.

We reported earlier  that deputies charged Steven Lynn Milam, 45, of Marion, with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance.

On Feb. 14, deputies, Marion Police Department officers, NC State Bureau of Investigation and the NC Division of Motor Vehicles raided Milam’s home and found 400 grams of methamphetamine and 18 grams of marijuana.

Milam was not found during the raid.

According to the sheriff’s office’s Facebook post, Milam reportedly turned himself in on Feb. 21 after a week on the run.
