Marijuana grow operation found in home search in Henderson Co.

HENDERSON COUNTY, NC (WSPA) – Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man after a home search revealed an active indoor marijuana grow operation.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, deputies learned of a possible criminal activity at a home on Shadow Ridge Drive in Fletcher and during a search found 29 marijuana plants, 380 grams of marijuana, marijuana grow equipment and drug paraphernalia.

Steven Donald Taylor, 25, was charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for the use of a controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony manufacture marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Taylor was arrested in Buncombe County on July 20 and was released on $25,000 bond.

He was scheduled to appear in Henderson County District Court on Monday.
