Mauldin High Senior Creates Duct Tape Prom Tuxedo

A Mauldin High School Senior created an unusual tuxedo for Prom this year in a contest, made completely out of duct tape! Charlie Hyman is now one of five finalists in the Duck Tape “Stuck on Prom” Scholarship Contest.

Judges physically have the tuxedo now at Duck Tape Headquarters. The tuxedo took Hyman over 30 hours and 12 rolls of duct tape to complete. His look included sneakers, a boutonniere, clufflinks, bow-tie, jacket, pants and vest. The jacket even has a hand cut lion design on the back!

To help Hyman win, you can click or tap here to vote for him online daily, now through June 25th. The grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship. Hyman is planning to attend the University of Texas in Austin this Fall.
