SPARTANBURG Co., S.C. (WSPA) — Mayo Elementary School is closed due to a nearby water main break.

Spartanburg School District 2 said the school does not have an adequate supply of running water because of the break. Classes have been cancelled for Wednesday, Nov. 14.

“We understand that crews are working to repair the broken line but that it will take some time before the work is complete,” a spokesman said in an email.

All other schools in Spartanburg School District 2 are operating on a normal schedule.
