UPDATE: Asheville Police Department officials said Safferon Baker has been safely located.
ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA) – Asheville Police Department officials are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing teen girl.
According to a police department news release, officers are searching for Safferon Baker, 13, who was last seen in the Roosevelt Street area in north Asheville at around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Baker is described as being 5-foot-tall, has brown, shoulder-length hair and light blue eyes.
Police said she was last seen wearing a green jacket with pink trim on the hood, a black shirt with gold writing, black shorts and was reportedly carrying a black, blue and white Adidas backpack.
Baker was also riding a black bicycle with several stickers on it.
