Missing 14-year-old boy found safe in Anderson

UPDATE: Anderson Police Capt. Mike Aikens confirmed that the missing child — a 14-year-old boy — was found at Federal Street and North Murray Avenue.

Aikens said he was okay and said he will soon be reunited with his family.

ANDERSON, SC (WSPA) – Anderson Police Department officials confirmed a child has been reported as missing at a store on North Main Street Monday afternoon.

According to Capt. Mike Aikens, police received the report about a missing child at Hamrick’s around 4:20 p.m.

Investigators and search teams have responded to the area.

A description of the child has not yet been released.
