Missing Greenville toddler FOUND SAFE, police say

UPDATE: Greenville Police say 2-year-old Asaiah Nelson and 50-year-old Michelle Matthews have been found safe.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — Police are searching for a 2-year-old girl last seen with her grandmother. 

Greenville Police Department said in a news release that Asaiah Nelson was dropped off Sunday at her grandmother’s house on Foster Street.

Her grandmother was identified as 50-year-old Michelle Matthews. 

Police say the toddler’s mother hasn’t heard from Matthews since Sunday.

The child and woman were last seen in the Cherrydale area in a dark green Honda Odyssey van with a white license plate, according to police. 

Anyone with information about Asaiah Nelson’s whereabouts is asked to call Greenville Police Department at 864-271-5333.
