UPDATE: The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that missing, endangered man Donald Ray Sherman, 70, was located in Coweta County, Ga.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies with Coweta County Sheriff’s Office found Sherman’s vehicle on the side of Interstate 85.
Sherman was later located in the woods around 500 yards from the road. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
“Thank you to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and all of the individuals and organizations who helped spread the word about Mr. Sherman’s disappearance. Teamwork such as this certainly affected a positive outcome. We could not have reunited Mr. Sherman and his family without you.”
ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a missing and endangered man.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, deputies are searching for Donald Ray Sherman, 70, who was last seen at Wendell’s Dippin’ Branch on US-29 south around 11 p.m. Friday night.
Video surveillance shows Sherman at Windell’s Dippin Branch on Friday night wearing jeans, a blue shirt, a red or orange jacket and a hat.
Sheriff’s office officials said new information in regards to the vehicle Sherman was driving indicated that the paper tag on the back of the silver or gray 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Edition was from Auto Kingdom, and not from Knights Auto as previously reported.
