UPDATE: Anderson City Police Department officials said Steve Anthony Sweat has been located.
ANDERSON, SC (WSPA) – Anderson City Police Department officials are searching for a missing man who is possibly endangered.
According to a police news release, Steve Anthony Sweat, 36, was reported missing from Upstate Residential Care, located at 1302 S. McDuffie St., since Thursdsay, Oct. 18 around 11 a.m.
Sweat was last seen walking and wearing black pant and a black sweatshirt.
Police said Sweat may have been walking toward Bailey Court Apartments off of Concord Avenue.
Sweat’s phone was pinged on Friday around noon, showing him in the area of Highway 29 and Master’s Boulevard.
According to the release, Sweat suffers from Schizophenia and has reportedly not taken his medication within the past 24 hours.
He is described as being 5-foot-11 inches tall and weighs around 206 pounds.
