Missing man search underway after vehicle found crashed in York Co.


YORK COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – York County Sheriff’s Office officials are searching for a missing Raleigh, NC man whose vehicle was found crashed and unoccupied in Catawba, SC on Tuesday.

According to a sheriff’s office release, deputies are searching for Martin Bankhead, 61.

Bankhead was reportedly last seen at his home on Monday around 9:45 p.m. in Raleigh.

Sheriff’s office officials said Bankhead was reported missing by his wife, and was reportedly last seen wearing a purple polo shirt, light khaki’s and brown shoes.

On Tuesday, Bunkhead’s vehicle was found reportedly crashed and unoccupied  in Catawba, SC around 5:45 a.m.

Bankhead has some gray facial hair and wears glasses. He is 6-foot-2 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds.
