Missing man’s body found in Wellford month after disappearance

SPARTANBURG Co., SC (WSPA) – The coroner confirmed a missing man’s body was found Thursday in Wellford.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger identified the man as Victor Ogan, 24, of Inman.

Ogan’s body was found in a wooded area off Office Street.

The coroner’s office and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death, which has been deemed suspicious.

Ogan was reported missing last month to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.

He’s also the father of a murder victim’s child.

Alexandra Renea Toney, 24, was shot Friday evening along Edgewood Avenue in Una and taken to the hospital, where she later died.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said Linda Huntley, 68, has been charged with murder, four counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Toney’s family said they wondered if Ogan’s disappearance was related to her death.

On Monday, Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Kevin Bobo said Huntley is the only suspect and they did not have a reason to connect Ogan’s disappearance to her killing.

Deputies say Ogan was reported missing on Jan. 21 and the agency is following up on leads about his disappearance.

Ogan’s fiance tells 7News she and Ogan’s family never gave up looking for him.
