PICKENS CO., S.C. (WSPA) – Authorities say searchers found a Georgia man’s body at the bottom of a waterfall at Table Rock State Park.

According to the Pickens County Coroner’s Office, two men were hiking on Mill Creek Pass Trail when one of them stopped to rest and his friend continued to walk.

After the man who rested went looking for the man who kept walking and didn’t find him, he notified park rangers.

They later found the man’s body at the bottom of a waterfall, the coroner’s office says.

Park rangers and rescuers searched for the man before finding him at the bottom of Mill Creek Falls.

The coroner’s office identified the man as 57-year-old Bryant Kevin Church of Kennesaw, Georgia.

An autopsy will be done on Monday.

The trail the men were on was made inaccessible because of the wildfires last fall, according to the coroner’s office.
