Missing teens from Asheville found safe, police say

UPDATE: Asheville Police Department officials said Aaja Atkins and Daniela Lopez have been safely located.


ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA) – Asheville Police are asking for your help to find two missing teens.

They are Aaja Atkins and Daniela Lopez. Both are 16 years old.

They were last seen in the West Asheville area on December 28.

Police say they are believed to be together and trying to travel to the Charlotte area.

Atkins is describe as a black female, 5’11”, medium build, black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a brown headband, a clip in ponytail, yellow sweatshirt and black leggings.

Lopez is described as a Hispanic female, 5’2″, small build, black and brown hair down to almost her waist.

She was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and black leggings.
