Missing woman with dementia in Greenville Co. found safe

UPDATE: Greenville County Sheriff’s Office officials confirmed that Dorothy Brown has been found safe.

GREENVILLE Co., S.C. (WSPA) — Deputies are sarching for an  82-year-old woman with dementia who went missing in the Greenville area. 

Dorothy Brown was last seen around 9 a.m. Friday at Emerald Commons Apartments on White Horse Road, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Brown is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a rainbow striped shirt with blue jeans and carrying a brown bag.

Deputies say Brown suffers from dementia.

She left on foot from the apartment complex. 

Deputies are actively searching for her at this time with the assistance of bloodhounds.

Anyone who sees her is asked to immediately call 911 and wait with her until law enforcement officials arrive on scene.
