Moonshine Sale Leads To Buffalo Man’s Arrest


BUFFALO, SC – A Union man was arrested for liquor law violations after deputies say he sold two gallons of moonshine to an undercover officer.

Grover Earl Evans, 66, was charged with selling illegal liquor and transporting illegal liquor in a motor vehicle by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the undercover officer paid $140 cash to Evans for two gallons of moonshine in a parking lot on Main Street in Buffalo around noon Monday.

A uniformed deputy arrested Evans on Highway 215 after the suspect left the parking lot. Evans is no longer being held in the Union County Jail according to it’s website.
