ANDERSON, SC (WSPA)- The Anderson County Sheriff’s office says they’ve arrested a man accused in a deadly shooting on a bridge near Lake Hartwell.
Stephen Grant Parten, 33, of Anderson was apprehended by the US Marshals Task Force in Knoxville, TN. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the arrest happened without incident around 5am Wednesday. Right now, he’s in the Knox County Detention facility and will go through the extradition process.
Parten was identified as the suspect in the shooting at the White City Park Bridge on Centerville Road in Anderson on Thursday, May 26.
According to an arrest warrant, Parten shot 25-year-old Ahmed Fallous in the chest and hit Fallous’ girlfriend in the head with a gun. Parten also threatened to kill her, but she was able to escape, according to the warrants.
Parten has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and having possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
