National Cheese Pizza Day

September 5th is National Cheese Pizza day!

The modern pizza got its start in Italy and wasn’t brought to the United States until the late 1800’s.

The first ever U.S. shop opened in New York’s Little Italy neighborhood in 1905.

Americans eat approximately 100 acres of pizza each day, or 350 slices per second.
