Deputies in western North Carolina charged a man after they say he broke into his grandfather’s truck and stole a gun.
Gabriel Alexander Duran, 26, of Marion was charged with larceny of a firearm and damage to property by the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Duran’s grandfather reported someone broke into his pickup truck that was parked off U.S. 221 North on May 29. We’re told the victim’s $125 pistol was taken from the truck.
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office investigation led them to charge Duran. Deputies say there was $150 worth of damage to the truck.
